Firstly he is a real live professor, the pinnacle of academic achievement. This probably explains why as yet we do not have his bio - sometimes things are better waiting..... sometimes, maybe I will get to mark it in due course!
Kev plays both acoustic and electric with absolute aplomb and enjoyment. He commissioned a guitar build on his specification and design, made from a very precious material which we know as wood, and we all love it. Kev has always been part of the vocal delivery of the band but now will be fronting this more and will be using his acoustic guitar more and more in the new line up, which gives us a new diversity. You can tell when he is doing this and his iPad holding the lyrics turns itself off, look out for it, the timing can be fun! He is often to be found in interesting venues at other band or artists gigs, appreciating the capability of others and was the one responsible for introducing us to George Shilling for our studio work, which you can listen to on the web site here! And now he has even published Poetry!
When not playing with the AAWB Kev is part of the folk group called Alkevan (https://www.facebook.com/Alkevan/) Kev writes a lot of the material and has features on local radio, and in the big Warwick Folk Festival. A completely different genre to the AAWB but you we are sure would utterly enjoy their music.
A gifted tennis and Badminton player so sporty Kev can be found regularly in his native South West on surf boards and staying in the Scilly Isles, he practices his academic profession by commenting on neuroscience, biology, fruit flies and such, and simply it is very interesting and fascinating.... Mind he is so convincing it may all be bull but enjoyable to listen too anyhow! But where you may upset him is if you get the jam/cream order wrong in a scone - he is a subject matter expert there.....
