Trev

Trev is now well established in the band having been the only change in "staff" since it was formed. But also he is the only one who so nearly made it being a professional musician. Remember the group Firebrand?...... neither do we but in those hedonistic days of the eighties, this man had long hair, bushy moustache and wore red leather jeans and had a top twenty hit in the Independent charts.
In fact at one gig his previous guitarist and singer from the band came to see us, a really nice bloke and a stereotype of the heavy rocker, with lots of head and facial hair. Trev mused if he had made it maybe he would still look like that...... Err Trev, your bonce mate, not overendowed with follicles now is it......... Trev knows everyone in the world and is very interested and very good at sound mixing. In fact trev treated us to a proper mixing desk, oh the joy it's given him in setting up and operating, oh indeed, now that really is stressful. Given such a musical CV why does he play with us, because Trev is genuinely the nicest bloke on the planet and we all really love him lots!!!

He also used to have the biggest stack ever seen by a Bass Player, and we could be seen coming out behind the back on occasions...... I used to spell it wrong but it was Hartge 8 x 10 cabinet with a huge head, in fact British Aerospace rented it from Trev for subsonic testing above volume level 2..... However you can't kee a good guy still and now his collection is even bigger than Rob's boy bits, so in his own words (take it away Trev....) Left to Right on the picture, Samick 5 string bass (had to see if I liked the extra string), Aria acoustic guitar (try occasionally to play some chords), Hohner acoustic bass (great practicing tool, thanks Ian), on top of my Ampeg SVT III Pro rig which has SVT classic 210 and 410 cabs is my Firebrand custom bass (built for me in the days of Firebrand in 1985 by Chris Westerman), Fender precision 1973 (my first wages bought this bass in 1978, still my favourite), Fender '62 re-issue Japanese Jazz bass 1994 (great electronics and slightly faster neck), Hofner Galaxy (my very first bass given to me by my brother Dave of Hands Off fame in 1973 when he purchased his sunburst precision, I was 13), and finally my Kramer DMZ 4001 (bought in 1980, it was advertised as the new precision of its time in music magazines but I found it a little bright live, still though I had to fetch it at 4am one morning to finish recording our single. The ebony neck and electronics made it fantastic for recording work so I kept it). Well Trev, it is a story, now about that photo of you in Lycra......
