Gazzer

Gazzer referred to as Gaz, but never ever call him short (it may be true but.....) fat is ok as is ugly but never short...... Gaz never thought he would make the big time and to prove it joined the band in the beginning. With he claims a very mixed musical taste (sometimes between tunes) he seems to be living the in the haunting melodic New Romantic age, if you ever listen to his Ipod. That said, as possibly the most physical part of the band he goes running several times a week now and although protests loudly at the end of the set when Rick calls a fast number, he manages to keep going!! AAWB is his third band, a school band and previous work band kept his hand in, he claims the school band were so bad they had to write their own stuff, strange how it sounded like other stuff in vogue at the time!!!! Being the drummer many of his musical requests are of course ignored but recently he has picked a few challenging numbers which everyone likes, perhaps he is maturing!!! He is also the lighting man and would love to spend the time and bands money is investing in more of a stage show, both for the audience and band alike, atmospherics apparently, and not rocket science but like most things, it is extra graft on a gig. Gaz states he is most fortuante in that his wonderful wife Andrea indulges him in equipment with this year an investment in Tama Bubinga kit, which is really quite an awesome instrument so thanks Andrea your a great gal!! He can deafen anyone now, but as he points out, melodically there is much more on offer. Never allowed to sing though, Rick gave him the mike once, disaster, but every now and then you can hear him scream in the background. Definitely with a sense of humour, he is capable of negotiating with the most fearful of venue Health and Safety officers and winning the common sense debate, but with his part time occupation in mind one has to treat him with some respect! Currently Gaz is playing a six piece Tama Bubinga Starclassic kit with a Masai Warrior Tama wooden snare, iron cobra double bass and hi hat, and Sabian AA Xplosion, Stage and B8 cymbals. Also, a recent addition is the Pearl Fibreglass Conga set and loads of shakers and bits, more is more apparently!!!!">
